Because the import script, encountering an empty field in a data file sometimes lets
an (invisible) tab character slip into a hypercard field,  (and because someone typed in a return character in a field by mistake) when the hc database is exported it is all screwed up!
So, this script goes through all the fields of the current background and checks for tabs or return characters in the last position of the field, writing empty where it finds them.  It then checks for return characters within a field and writes * where it finds them.
